Pro-tip: Yoga is the ultimate exercise to ease the mind & body, both of which #Diabetes can take its toll on over time. Stress actually activates our "fight or flight" response, triggering the release of hormones such as cortisol & glucagon which lead to BGs 📈. Therefore, it's important to allow yourself some time to breathe, unwind (literally), enjoy the sunshine ☀️ & company of friends. It's what I call the "relaxation" response to help lower BGs naturally. But really, we all know I'm just here for the savasana.
