I have always been a so-called "conscientious" water guzzler, so much that before I was officially diagnosed with #diabetes, the typical ⛳️ flag symptoms of insatiable thirst & subsequent 🚽breaks seemed *almost* normal. Well, I guess not (luckily I got that lil problem checked out) However, now more than ever, I am aware of how much water I'm drinking & how it affects my body.
💁🏻🐳 Pro-tip: Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! As diabetics, water is crucial to maintaining our health & preventing hyperglycemia. If you're thirsty, check your BG. Excess sugar depletes & dehydrates you, leaving you high & dry. However, don't only rely on your senses. Waiting until you actually feel thirst is often too late. To keep track of my H2O intake, I drink from a measured water bottle throughout the day.
