Breaking Bad Bread... I'll be saving this for a rainy day, aka my next low 😳

Bread gets a bad rep, but it's not so black & white. It's really more like wheat vs. white. Steer clear from refined white bread & look for 100% whole wheat or whole grain (read the label!) that will get absorbed more slowly. Rye & sprouted varieties are also smart choices.

💁🏻 Pro-tip: If you must have a refined carb like white bread, pair with a healthy fat like avocado or nut butter to minimize the spike. So I can actually say the next best thing since sliced bread is avocado toast.
